Davide Prosperi

President from 2021

Born in Milan in 1972, he is Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Milan Bicocca. He was Vice-President of the Fraternity from 2011 to 2021.
Davide Prosperi was born in Milan in 1972. He graduated in Chemistry and obtained a PhD in Chemical Sciences in 2001. Between 2003 and 2008 he was a researcher at the CNR Institute of Molecular Sciences and Technologies. In 2008 he moved to the Department of Biotechnology and Biosciences of the University of Milan Bicocca, where he is now Professor in Biochemistry and Director of the university's Center for Nanomedicine. He is married and the father of four children.

He has been Vice-President of the Fraternity of Communion and Liberation since 2011. Since November 27, 2021, he has been President of the Fraternity of CL. Following the resignation of Fr. Julián Carrón, the Prefect of the Dicastery for the Laity, the Family and Life, Cardinal Kevin Farrell, confirmed that, according to art. 19 of the Statute of the Fraternity of CL, in the event of the resignation of the President, the Vice-President succeeds him fully. Consequently, he recognized Prosperi as President of the Fraternity.
