Syrian Children

Happy Easter

Fr. Ibrahim Alsabagh of Syria witnesses to the miracles he has witnessed in his war torn country in this Easter greeting.

“God loved us with so much love that he was generous with is mercy, he brought us to life in Christ and raised us up with him. This was to show for all ages to come, through his goodness towards us in Jesus Christ, how infinitely rich is his grace. We are God’s work of art, created in Christ Jesus to live the good life as from the beginning he had meant us to live it.” (Ep. 2,4-10)

How do we witness the hope in the resurrection? Not primarily with our word. It is through our lives and actions that we testify the love of Christ for every human being.

Helping the return of a family in its own house. To save the life of a child with cancer. Helping children deal with trauma. Helping the weakest with school support. Giving job opportunities.

These are just a few examples of the miracles we have been able to witness. We continue to thank you for your generosity in: reestablish our brothers and sisters, give them back the joy of living, of hoping, contributing to their resurrection

May the Lord support all your efforts to bring relief and comfort to our brothers and sisters who still suffer so much, to our beloved and martyred Syria, the victim of a war that never ceases to sow horror and death.
Christ who has overcome the darkness of sin and death can give peace in our time.

We wish you too that you can feel the presence of the Risen Lord every day, and share with others the joy and the hope that He has given us.
Happy Easter!
