Life and Goodness that I'm Invited To

"In light of what is going on in the Church right now, a friend called me midweek and asked if we are facing the end of the Church in America."

Our family went to the first upstate NY CL community event. It was the place where Saints Isaac Jogues, Jean de Lande, and Rene Goupil were martyred. It is also the birth place of St. Kateri. There were lots of people and Rita had done a great job organizing the day. Lisa gave a fantastic summary of the saints, and Fr. Rich led the assembly.

In light of what is going on in the Church right now, a friend called me midweek and asked if we are facing the end of the Church in America. I had only heard the news from Rachel, but was tempted to quote: the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Instead, I invited her to our pilgrimage, meaning that I don't deny the evil, but there is life and goodness that I am continually invited to.
