WITNESS—This was the first time in which I have participated in the Way of the Cross over the Brooklyn Bridge. It was the most profound and beautiful Good Friday I have ever had.

We were over for a short vacation from Europe, walking the Brooklyn Bridge, and at halfway we see this huge procession coming towards us, which we didn't know about, but its purpose quickly became clear. We decided to join these people and go back, which was a special and unexpected experience.

We'll cross the complete bridge next time.
