Giulia Sportoletti is a heptathlon champion who, after reaching the top level in her category in Italy, was offered a full scholarship to Rice University, one of the most prestigious universities in the South. She comes from Carate, Brianza and grew up in a CL family (I studied with her parents at the Polytechnic University.) While in high school Giulia was active in GS, and when she came to Houston she and three others started the CLU.

The CLU has School of Community at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, and recently she was invited to the CLU Leaders' Meeting in DC. Because she has a tight training schedule, she had to ask permission to leave for the weekend, and it became known that she was attending this group as a leader in a Catholic Movement. The news reached one of her friends who worked at the University's television station. They interview her after she came back from DC.

This video is that interview. Since it aired, other athletes and students of Rice have contacted Giulia in order to find out more about this Movement she belong to, and very recently she went out with some of them for lunch to talk about CL as they wanted to know more. Recently she went to lunch with several interested students, and since, interest has grown among these new friends. Something new is happening!
