I have to write something about what happened in October when I fractured my leg. I was under a doctor's orders to be non-weightbearing for 4-6 weeks. I am self-employed and had recently spent most of my savings to be with my family while our sister was in her last weeks of life.

Some of our friends got together and suggested to one another that I might need some financial help! They generously gave me enough to get through the remaining month. I was overwhelmed by their gesture for many reasons. What I wasn't expecting though was that when I shared this beautiful thing with many of my clients and non-CL friends, they too were overwhelmed. A few had tears in their eyes as they said how beautiful it is to know that human beings can love like that. I didn't realize what a witness to love these friends of mine would be for the larger world.
